Q. Why Do People Visit Chardham?
Chardham yatra helps pilgrims to worship the Lord Shiva and Vishnu seeking blessings from the deity. The tour helps within the religious upliftment of the devotees.
Compulsory Biometric Registration for Char Dham Yatra Pilgrims. Since 2014, the Uttarakhand government has made it mandatory for devotees to register themselves while visiting the state for Char Dham Yatra 2020.
First, they visit Yamunotri, then to the famous Gangotri, followed by the Kedarnath Dham, and finally fishing the pilgrimage at the Badrinath Dham.
Govt counters open the registration for more than 5000 tourists per day for Kedarnath yatra 2020. There are two ways to get registered for chardham and kedarnath yatra. You can either do registration directly at the registration counters or through online registration (limited seats).
The best time to take the holy Char Dham Yatra is from April to June. These months are considered to be the best time because the favourable temperature and won't face many difficulties along the route.
